About the Role
Role: Family Solicitor
Proper Recruitment are searching for an experienced Family Solicitor on behalf of a boutique London law firm with offices in Hampstead, Crouch End, Highgate, and Angel.
Responsibilities:
• Handling all aspects of private family law including divorce, finances, child arrangements, nuptial agreements, and cohabitation matters
• Managing your own caseload while building contacts and developing new work opportunities
• Attending marketing and networking events to support business development and contribute to the department’s growth
• Delivering consistently high levels of client service and obtaining regular positive feedback
• Supervising and mentoring trainees and paralegals
• Working closely with partners and colleagues to strengthen client relationships
• Ensuring compliance with SRA principles, professional conduct rules, and firm-wide risk management policies
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years PQE within a family law department
• 2:1 or above undergraduate degree
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong client care skills with the ability to manage your own caseload
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage time-sensitive documents
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• A proactive team player with the ability to support colleagues

Salary:
• £65,000 – £75,000 per annum (DOE)
