Role: Assistant Portfolio Manager

Proper Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of London's leading block management companies and we have been given the opportunity to assist them with sourcing an Assistant Portfolio Manager to add to their ever-growing team

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Portfolio Director on a Day to Day basis

  • Liaising with tenants, Leaseholders, Freeholder and board of Directors and help the Portfolio Director managing expectations of all aspects of block management

  • Handling Day to Day property maintenance issues

  • Obtaining quotations for any works

  • Dealing with any telephone / email / post enquires

  • Performing property searches via the Land Registry

  • Managing elements of maintenance issues

  • Ensuring all systems are kept up to date and maintained

  • Assisting in the management of all Health and Safety, Fire Risk Assessments and any Asbestos for the portfolio

  • Drafting for approval Section 20 Notices

  • Assisting the Portfolio Director whilst they liaise with Chartered Surveyors and insurance brokers.

  • Acquisition of keys, fobs, remotes and permits and administering management keys to authorised contractors for maintenance purposes or copies for residents where necessary.

  • The Company out of hour’s phone is held by the team on a weekly rotation – when in the Assistant Portfolio Manager’s possession they are expected to be contactable in the evenings and during the weekend should any emergencies occur.

Requirements:

  • IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Have a proven background in block management (minimum 6 months experience) and an all-round knowledge of the industry

  • Ambitious, dynamic and motivated

  • Great communicator, both verbally and written, with good use of grammar and spelling

  • Excellent time keeping and time management

  • Full clean UK driving licence a benefit

Salary:

£30,000 Per annum

Training:

Training will be provided on the job internally, supplemented by external courses as required. Staff are encouraged to sit the IRPM exams at the earliest opportunity.
