Role: CDM Principal Designer

Proper Recruitment have been appointed on behalf of a leading architectural practice in West London to source an experienced CDM Principal Designer to lead a team of Health & Safety consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing multiple projects

  • Design risk management

  • Team lead

  • Site inspections

  • Preparation and production of Pre-Construction Information

  • Building/maintaining relationships with Clients/Project Managers and Principal Contractors

  • Principal Designer duties, as defined by the Construction (Design and Management) regulations 2015 (CDM).

  • Leading safety in design workshops for design and client teams

Requirements:

  • Competent technically

  • Leading a Team of H&S Professionals

  • Excellent communicator

  • Familiarity with the construction process and RIBA stages

  • Proficient with CDM 2015

  • 4 years minimum experience within the Construction / H&S Industry

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or H&S Diploma Qualification

  • Chartered membership to a relevant body IOSH, APS (Certified or Incorporated member), CIOB

  • An excellent understanding of Construction

  • Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Design related degree, Safety diploma, FRA qualifications.

Salary:

  • £70,000 - £80,000 per annum
